SWIP - Policewomen's Conference - March 2019

It was much simpler in the old days!

Members of the Tamworth-based Peel Society were invited to attend a conference held by Senior Policewomen from all over the country at Birmingham Repertory Theatre in March.

The 3 day conference was intended to give help and advice to the officers in carrying out their duties, which nowadays can carry extreme responsibility and stress.

Speakers included Cressida Dick CBE QPM, Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, who also happens to be a patron of the Peel Society and visits their museum at Middleton Hall regularly.

Other speakers included three other female Chief Constables and the actress/ comedian Ruby Wax OBE, who has a special interest in mental health and wellbeing.

They liked us! (The lady is a senior Police Officer).
